ABOUT ME
Greetings! I'm Maryann Appel. Born and raised in New Jersey, I attended the University of Hartford in Connecticut where I received a BFA in Advertising Design. I am passionate about my work and I possess a strong enthusiasm for every phase of the graphics business: concept and design, managing a staff of designers, meeting with clients and determining budget lines, hiring and working with external vendors (printers, illustrators, photographers), researching and buying artwork and photography, presenting to audiences, and keeping abreast of best practices and standards in designing print and digital assets.
I have worked in the creative departments of Coleco Toys, Macy's, Burson-Marsteller, the United Jewish Federation, Gruntal & Co., Ryan Beck & Co., the Global Association of Risk Professionals, and CamCat Publishing. In between, I have pursued a freelance business and have worked with charities, such as the Ronald McDonald House.
